Ancient Thai Massage

Unlike the scooping and continuous strokes of Western massage, the Thai method uses print pressure, muscle stretching and compression, done in a thythmic movement of gentle rocking. In Thai massage it is not just the hands that are used to free tension from the recipient's body, but the therapists feet, forearms, knees, and elbows as well. Be assured northern style Thai massage is never painful.

Thai massage is applied on a mat on the floor, the work is done fully clothed and no oils are required. Thai medical massage can move deeper into the mechanical functions of the body, working with deep muscle tension and joint mobility as well as nerve, muscle and ligament balancing.

Similar to Acupuncture except WITHOUT needles. Following the 5 elements of Chinese medicine to treat aliments or emotional trauma though energy pathways on the body.

Shiatsu

A Japanese massage done on the table or a floor mat. Uses rage of motion combined with stretches. Also follows the 5 elements and meridian protocol used in Chinese medicine. Client remains clothed - please wear comfortable clothes.

Swedish

A traditional massage involving simple relaxation and circulation improvement. Does not involve a focus area, and is generally known as the "puff and fluff".

Deep Tissue

A full body massage using more of an injury massage technique. Deep tissue works with your body to remove adhesions and enhance movement.

Hot Rock

A rejuvenating massage using heated river stones. The heat and moister penetrates deep into your body so the pressure wont have too! Hot Rock also incorporates a full body energy balance for an all over "soul" stimulation.

Injury Prevention/Recovery Massage

A focused massage on specific areas of discomfort (not a full body massage), involving range of motion, trigger point therapy, and muscle stripping techniques around problem areas to restore movement.

Prenatal Massage

A massage geared toward expecting mothers. Using a "Body Cushion" allowing the mother to be lay on her stomach. It provides a nurturing, stress relief massage as well as relieving those aches and pains associated with your changing body.

Sports Massage

For athletes in training, pre-event and post-event massage helps remove waste products such as lactic acid and encourage the muscles to take up oxygen and nutrients which help them recover quicker.

A specialized technique helps locate and release spasms at the same time it aids in eliminated trigger points that can cause referred pain to other parts of the body.
